Una collezione a colazione

Reaching its ninth edition, Colazione in musica, a series of events organized by the Associazione Filarmonica Sanvitese – APS, provides the occasion to step into aspects linked with the music, history and art history of San Vito al Tagliamento, with a convivial approach. On the occasion of the Palinsesti Festival, one of the events of Colazione in musica is dedicated to the presentation of the Punto Fermo permanent collection.

Established in 2011 on the twentieth anniversary of the introduction of contemporary art in San Vito al Tagliamento, the Punto Fermo collection aims at enhancing, through precise criteria of selection, the most meticulous and representative samples of artistic research carried out within the regional territory by artists of different generations.

In 2015 the collection was permanently moved to the former Essiccatoio Bozzoli in via Fabrici. In the same year, with the aim of making the collection less “static” and more dynamic in its fruition, a cycle of yearly exhibitions was started, dedicated to a focus on the artistic production and style of the artists present in the collection.

Punto Fermo, which means ‘fixed point,’ does not actually represent a “fixed” point as in unmovable or definitive, but is rather a vital organism, perpetually moving and evolving: a living collection, able to grow and renovate across time and which represents an unicum in the whole Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Recent acquisitions and the following expansion of the collection have enabled the publication of a new catalog, edited by Silvana Editoriale, which will be presented on the occasion of the present edition of Palinsesti.
